Thousands of fake Nike brands footwears were confiscated by federal agent and arrested six men.
Federal agent seized around 135,000 pairs worth $16 million of fake Nike shoes laden in 15 cargo containers.
There were more than 82 containers of bogus shoes and sports apparel entered the US, informed sources.
This is the biggest incident of fake brands imports, Caroline Joiner, executive director of the US Chamber of Commerce's anti-counterfeiting and piracy initiative stated.
All containers were supposed to be transported in Mexico, informed local authority.
