Vietnam's footwear exports to Australia jumped 26.26 percent to $23.3 million during January to August, 2006 compared to same period last year, according to industrial statistics.
Australian customers mainly prefer better-quality products at competitive prices from Vietnam.
Considering this trend, industrial experts estimated that footwear exports to Australia would reach between $38 and $40 million by 2006.
Apart from Australia, exports to the US and Canada also reported sharp rise of 39.98 percent to $651 million during period in consideration.
Footwear exports fetched total revenue of $1.2 billion for Vietnam.
