Alpina targets Peko takeover

Close on the heels of Infond Holding 2 takeover, Alpina, Slovenian footwear maker is going to buy Trzic-based footwear company Peko as it tries to strengthen its market.

Matjaz Lenassi, Alpina director, said that both companies had similarities in synergies and will be able to come up with something better. Both are complementary in nature as Peko is adapt in fashion footwear whereas Alpina is good in sports wear.

The collaboration between the two is expected to reduce the purchasing costs and they would be able to benefit from the retail chains which are spread across countries of former Yugoslavia.
