For the so-called dumping of footwear products imported from China, the International Trade Commission held hearing under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).

It is urged to MOEA to work out provisional anti-dumping measures within three months to release pressure from Taiwan's footwear makers. According to ITC officials less than one week was too short for them to arrange everything smoothly.

According to insiders Taiwan might impose more than 200 percent of anti-dumping tax rate if charges are proven.
