Woodland mulls major expansion by 2008

Woodland, a leading domestic footwear label is planning for a major expansion, which will be two times that of current production capacity and is setting up 60-70 new retail stores in next two years.

The new unit, which is expected to start its operations by end of 2007 would be of 4000-6000 capacity, as current capacity is of 6000 pairs of shoes per day.

The new stores that are going to open in next four years will be opened in metros and number of stores will reach up to 195. It's also planning to market apparel and accessories brands.
