Used-European shoes business is boosted by Mahmmoud Zein in Sidon. He is a merchant, who repairs these shoes, which are used by Lebanese.
Zein buys these shoes in kilogram at rate of $11 and sells them to customers at a profit margin of $3 to $6. He has been in this business for more than 40 years and perceives that customer could buy shoes for whole family at price of one pair shoes.
He has the collection of latest trends like leather boots, stilettos and fashionable ballerinas.
Even he tries to induce customers to buy sports shoes by convincing them that these shoes might have belonged to soccer players like Zinedine Zidane and Juergen Klinsmann.
These shoes are far better than that of any Lebanese or far Eastern shoes. Demand for such shoes is increasing of late because everyone cannot afford brand new shoes these days.
