The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) recently approved a $3.5-million garment factory, to be built in Bosstaney village of Kaheng commune in Samrong Thong district in Kampong Speu. Hao Jia Li (Cambodia) Garment Co. Ltd. will invest in the project. The project is expected to generate employment for some 700 people in the region.

Such investment demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability as the country is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, CDC said in a press release.
