The Fiji textile and clothing sector needs to focus on hiking productivity and ensure compliance with international standards, said the Attorney General of Fiji.
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum who is also the Tourism Minister was addressing a bilateral technical assistance workshop, organised by the TCF Council of Fiji and China.
An 18-member Fijian delegation from the clothing sector has recently returned from China after attending a workshop organised and funded by the Chinese government.
He added that the textile and apparel industry needs to be on the path to continuous improvement.
