The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) has recently released national sample results on product quality conducted in the first quarter of this year, of which 16 children's clothing have been disqualified.

This sample inspection has taken 131 kinds of children and infants clothing from 130 production enterprises in eight cities and provinces, including Beijing and Guangdong and the pass rate is 87.8 percent.

The results show that pH value of seven products failed relevant standards, fabric fiber content of eight products did not match that expressed on labels, test results of water color fastness, perspiration color fastness, saliva-resistant color fastness of one product are not in conformity with relevant standards.

There are eight enterprises in Guangdong on the disqualified list, accounting for half of the numbers on the list and their main problems are related to failure of qualifying on pH value norms.
