Sri Lankan Minister for Economic Development – Basil Rajapaksa has recently inaugurated a plant of Trendywear (Pvt) Ltd., which is the latest BoI undertaking located at Adhikarigama, Nuwara Eliya.
This venture has been initiated under a development scheme to draw investment in the remote areas of the country.
The factory will produce and ship top quality children's and women's garment to countries like Switzerland, France, UK and USA.
The apparel factory at Adhikarigama is a highly sophisticated unit setup with modern machines and eco-friendly amenities.
The total investment on the unit amounts to Rs. 315 million and it will provide employment to 1,000 employees.
