PRC firm wants to modernise Pak textile sector

China’s Yantai Zhonglian Industry has expressed interest in introducing modern technology in Pakistan by forming joint ventures with the country’s textile sector. In a meeting with Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) officials in Lahore recently, its chief executive officer Jiang Xuelian discussed such prospects.

The Chinese company is engaged in designing, manufacturing, domestic sales and exports, has its own brand Yesnow, and has rights to export products to North America, Europe, Australia, Canada and other countries.

It wants to introduce innovative contemporary technology of Europe in Pakistan, Pakistani media reports quoted Jiang as saying. (DS)
