Pakistan's cotton arrival soars 97.51% to 30.41 lakh bales this season

Usually, the regular influx of cotton begins in August annually. However, this timeline was advanced to July this year due to early sowing and favourable weather conditions, which had a positive impact on the cotton crop. This situation contrasts starkly with the previous year when heavy rains and floods primarily affected the crop in the main cotton-producing states. 

Data released by the Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) on August **, ****, disclosed that the cotton arrival from July to August **** was **,**,*** bales. This marks an increase of **,**,*** bales compared to the **,**,*** bales recorded in August ****. Due to the early onset of cotton arrival this year, the PCGA released its second monthly report unusually in September. Last year, the first monthly report, which only covered the arrival data for July ****, was also released in September.
