Sporda Nonwoven was declared bankrupt on 18 November. The company had facilities in Sporda and Värnamo. Nordifa is now taking over the business and saving a number of jobs in the town of Sporda.
Sporda Nonwoven will continue to be run as an independent company. Jonas Rylander together with Anna Hallberg will lead the business, the company said in a press release.
“The goal is to continue as before with the same focus and the same customers,” said Rylander. Our owner Nordifa is not planning any changes in the near future, but in the long term we see some opportunities to achieve synergy benefits, for example in material supply and technical development.”
“We already have a similar business in Nordifa AB,” said Robert Bornefalk, CEO.
But the companies are not really competitors, but complement each other in a good way. The acquisition of Sporda Nonwoven broadens and deepens our offering to both new and existing customers.
