Valmet, a global developer and supplier of technologies, automation, and services for the pulp, paper, and energy industries has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the second consecutive year.

Valmet Corporation was listed in both Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe indices, the company said in a press release.

The DJSI is a sustainability index family and serves as a benchmark for investors committed to ethical investing and reviews companies' sustainability performances as part of their analysis.

Pasi Laine, president and CEO of Valmet Corporation said, “Being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the second year in a row is an excellent achievement for Valmet. It shows that we have been able to constantly improve our sustainability performance. We have systematically proceeded with our sustainability agenda, and continue to nurture our shared values and global operating principles which serve as a strong foundation for all of us at Valmet.”

The annual evaluation conducted by a Swiss investment specialist RobecoSAM comprehensively reviews the company's performance with regard to social, environmental and financial factors. Apart from Valmet, BASF, Clariant, Picanol, and TEX textiles are also included in the world index list this year. (HO)
