During the just past week, supported by strong upstream chips and caprolactam rates, nylon price remained firm. After the Golden Week holiday, manufacturers raised their quotations, with price of high elasticity DTY reaching 30000-31000 yuan per ton.

After the small increase of low elasticity POY price in earlier time, the lower reaches were basically accepted the price and most market prices were followed up, demand maintained good. Currently the price of 86D/24F semi-dull was at 26500-26600 yuan per ton. In filament market, actual performance of FDY was as usual, prices of some dull varieties increased, 70 D/24F was traded at 27800-28200 yuan per ton.

Driven by raw materials, middle and high-grade nylon POY prices are expected to shift higher in general.

FDY production units have started to limit production; the market trend remains to be observed. Downstream weaving factories are expected to gradually increase their prices of nylon filaments.
