Anti-dumping duty on import of Nylon 6.6 chips

The Ministry of Commerce, China, announced that it will impose an anti-dumping tax on imports of nylon-6.6 chips effective from October 13.

The chip which is also a polyamide is mainly imported from the United States, Italy, United Kingdom and France and is used in manufacture of plastics and textiles.

The maximum anti-dumping rate is 37.5 percent and the measure will be in place for a period of five years. Imports from Taiwan will also attract this duty.
