The Scheme for Setting up Plastic Parks focuses on creating infrastructure-rich parks with facilities to boost downstream plastic processing, fostering increased investment, production, exports, and employment. So far, 10 Plastic Parks across various states are under different stages of implementation.

The Centres of Excellence (CoEs) Scheme aims to modernise manufacturing, improve product quality, and drive technological advancement through grants to educational and research institutions, with 18 CoEs approved to date.

The Petrochemicals Research & Innovation Commendation (PRIC) Scheme recognises breakthroughs in products, processes, and technologies, promoting efficiency, plastic waste management, and innovation in the petrochemical sector.

India Chem 2024, held from October 17-19 in Mumbai, showcased the burgeoning potential of India’s chemical sector, highlighting government initiatives for sustainable growth. The event, organised under the CPDS Scheme, attracted 172 exhibitors, including 49 international participants, 78 global CEOs, 135 speakers, and 689 foreign attendees. It also welcomed 1,115 Indian delegates and 8,720 business visitors, reaffirming its status as a major gathering for the industry.
