Ethylene prices in Asia plunge last week

Ethylene prices weakened in Asia in the past week due to ample availability of product in the region.

In Korea, average prices witnessed a sharp fall of US$ 70/ton and recorded at US$ 885/ton in the previous week as compared to the last week, a decline of 7.33 per cent.

In Japan, average prices slipped to US$ 880/ton in the last week, a fall of 7.37 per cent over US$ 950/ton over the preceding week.

In SE Asia, average prices decreased US$ 25/ton and settled at US$ 840/ton in the last week, a drop of 2.89 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the former week.

In NE Asia, average prices slowed by US$ 30/ton and quoted at US$ 925/ton in the last week, post reduction of 3.14 per cent as compared to the previous week.
