Asian ethylene climbs last week from tight availability

Ethylene prices climbed up in Asia in the last week ended Oct 30 from tight product availability in the region.

In Korea, average prices went up by US$ 20/ton or 2.16 per cent and were quoted at US$ 945/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices rose by US$ 35/ton and were spotted at US$ 940/ton in the last week, up 3.87 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices grew by US$ 65/ton and were assessed at US$ 1005/ton in the last week, an increase of 6.91 per cent vis-a-vis its earlier week.

In NE Asia, average prices drove up by US$ 45/ton or 4.74 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 995/ton in the last week.

In India, average prices expanded by US$ 65/ton and were witnessed at US$ 1005/ton in the last week, up 6.91 per cent as compared to its prior week.
