Asian ethylene climbs last week from upstream gains

Ethylene prices climbed in Asia in the last week ended Feb 19 from gain in upstream energy prices in the region.

In Korea, average prices mounted by US$ 5/ton or 0.56 per cent and were quoted at US$ 900/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices ascended by US$ 5/ton and were assessed at US$ 895/ton in the last week, up 0.56 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices expanded by US$ 25/ton and were offered at US$ 915/ton in the last week, an increase of 2.81 per cent vis-à-vis its earlier week.

In NE Asia, average prices lifted by US$ 15/ton or 1.68 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 910/ton in the last week.

In India, average prices propelled up by US$ 25/ton and were witnessed at US$ 915/ton in the last week, up 2.18 per cent versus its prior week.
