Asian ethylene drops last week from insipid market

Ethylene prices dropped in Asia in the last week ended Jan 15 from insipid market sentiments.

In Korea, average prices declined by US$ 15/ton or 1.40 per cent and were quoted at US$ 1055/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices decreased by US$ 15/ton and were offered at US$ 1045/ton in the last week, down 1.42 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices descended by US$ 35/ton and were spotted at US$ 1055/ton in the last week, a decrease of 3.21 per cent vis-à-vis its earlier week.

In NE Asia, average prices dipped by US$ 30/ton or 2.80 per cent and were assessed at US$ 1040/ton in the last week, as compared to its prior week.

In India, average prices drove down by US$ 35/ton and were witnessed at US$ 1055/ton in the last week, down 3.21 per cent versus its earlier week.
