Asian ethylene expands last week from upstream gains

Ethylene prices expanded in Asia in the last week ended Dec 4 from gain in upstream and downstream product prices in the region.

In Korea, average prices went up by US$ 5/ton or 0.49 per cent and were quoted at US$ 1025/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices rose by US$ 5/ton and were assessed at US$ 1015/ton in the last week, up 0.50 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices grew by US$ 5/ton and were offered at US$ 1065/ton in the last week, an increase of 0.47 per cent vis-à-vis its earlier week.

In NE Asia, average prices increased by US$ 5/ton or 0.48 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 1055/ton in the last week.

In India, average prices climbed by US$ 5/ton and were witnessed at US$ 1065/ton in the last week, up 0.47 per cent as compared to its prior week.
