Asian ethylene lifts last week from upstream price gain

Ethylene prices lifted up in Asia in the last week ended Sept 18 from gain in upstream energy prices in the region.

In Korea, average prices went up by US$ 30/ton or 4.00 per cent and were quoted at US$ 780/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices rose by US$ 30/ton and were assessed at US$ 770/ton in the last week, up 4.05 per cent as against its earlier week.

In SE Asia, average prices grew by US$ 20/ton and were spotted at US$ 800/ton in the last week, an increase of 2.56 per cent from its prior week.

In NE Asia, average prices expanded by US$ 20/ton or 2.47 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 830/ton in the last week.

In India, average prices ascended by US$ 20/ton and were quoted at US$ 800/ton in the last week, up 2.56 per cent vis-à-vis its earlier week.
