Asian ethylene prices drop on poor downstream demand

Ethylene prices decreased in Asia in the last week due to poor downstream product demand in the region.

 

In Korean market, average prices went down by US$ 5/ton and quoted at US$ 1160/ton in the last week, a decrease of 0.43 per cent from the previous week.

 

In Japan, average prices declined by US$ 5/ton to US$ 1155/ton in the last week, a decrease of 0.43 per cent over the previous week.

 

In SE Asia, average prices went down by US$ 5/ton and quoted at US$ 1145/ton in the last week, a decrease of 0.43 per cent compared to previous week.

 

In NE Asia, average prices went down by US$ 10/ton and quoted at US$ 1175/ton in the last week, a decrease of 0.84 per cent compared to previous week.

 

In India, average prices declined by US$ 5/ton to US$ 1145/ton in the last week, a decrease of 0.43 per cent over the previous week.
