Asian ethylene prices edge higher last week

Ethylene prices surged in Asia in the last week due to persistent product demand in the region.
 
In Korea, average prices went up by US$ 110/ton and quoted at US$ 1170/ton in the last week, as compared to previous week, a jump of 10.38 per cent.
 
In Japan, average prices soared by US$ 110/ton and assessed at US$ 1165/ton in the last week, a climb of 10.43 per cent compared to previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices stepped up by US$ 60/ton and quoted at US$ 1100/ton in the last week, a rise of 5.77 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
 
In NE Asia, average prices marched higher by US$ 95/ton and assessed at US$ 1230/ton in the last week, registering a hike of 8.37 per cent from the previous week.
