Asian ethylene prices gain sharply past week

Ethylene prices leaped higher in Asia in the last week due to tight product availability the region.
 
In Korea, average prices climbed sharply by US$ 60/ton and finalized at US$ 1275/ton in the last week, a gain of 4.94 per cent as compared to the previous week.
 
In Japan, average prices went up by US$ 60/ton and secured at US$ 1270/ton in the last week, after an increase of 4.96 per cent as compared to the previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices picked up by US$ 30/ton and recorded at US$ 1210/ton in the last week as compared to the previous week, an advancement of 2.54 per cent.
 
In NE Asia, average prices improved by US$ 60/ton and quoted at US$ 1335/ton in the last week, a climb of 4.71 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
