Asian ethylene prices march lower last week

Ethylene prices slipped in Asia in the last week despite higher upstream energy values in the region.

In Korea, average prices witnessed a sharp fall by US$ 45/ton and recorded at US$ 1290/ton in the last week as compared to the previous week, a declination of 3.37 per cent.
 
In Japan, average prices moved down by US$ 45/ton and assessed at US$ 1285/ton in the last week, a fall of 3.38 per cent over the previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices decreased a bit by US$ 10/ton and settled at US$ 1210/ton in the last week, a plunge of 0.82 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
 
In NE Asia, average prices edged lower by US$ 10/ton and quoted at US$ 1315/ton in the last week, after a reduce of 0.75 per cent as compared to the previous week.
