Asian ethylene prices rise in parts of Asia on Sept 21

Ethylene prices rose in parts of Asia on Monday (Sept 21) from strong demand and higher upstream energy prices coupled with tight availability in the region.

In S E Asia, prices were assessed at US$ 840/ton, higher by US$ 30/ton as compared to prices at the end of last week.

In N E Asia, prices were spotted at US$ 870/ton, up by US$ 30/ton as against prices at the end of prior week.

Prices remained stable in Korea and Japan at US$ 805/ton and US$ 795/ton, respectively.
