Asian ethylene prices rise sharply last week

Ethylene prices in Asia were climbed in the last week. The price gain was mainly higher upstream energy values along with constrained product availability in the region.
 
In Korea, average prices surged by US$ 85/ton and quoted at US$ 1350/ton in the last week as compared to the previous week, a lift of 6.72 per cent.
 
In Japan, average prices advanced by US$ 85/ton and assessed at US$ 1345/ton in the last week, a jump of 6.75 per cent compared to the previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices improved by US$ 20/ton and settled at US$ 1265/ton in the past week, an enhancement of 1.61 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
 
In NE Asia, average prices soared by US$ 30/ton and assessed at US$ 1360/ton in the last week, registering a hike of 2.26 per cent from the previous week.
