Asian ethylene prices show upward trend last week

Ethylene prices went up in Asia in the last week despite lower upstream energy values in the region.
 
In Korea, average prices marched higher by US$ 30/ton and finalized at US$ 1375/ton in the last week, registering a hike of 2.23 per cent as compared to the previous week.
 
In Japan, average prices improved by US$ 30/ton and secured at US$ 1370/ton in the last week, an advancement of 2.24 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
 
In NE Asia, average prices inched up by US$ 15/ton and concluded at US$ 1395/ton in the last week over the previous week, a climb of 1.09 per cent.
 
In SE Asia, average prices edged up by US$ 5/ton and assessed at US$ 1255/ton in the last week, after an increase of 0.40 per cent as compared to the previous week.
