Asian propylene drops last week from poor demand

Propylene prices dropped in Asia in the last week ended September 12 from poor downstream product demand in the region.

In Korea, average prices declined by US$ 30/ton or 4.32 per cent and were assessed at US$ 665/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices decreased by US$ 10/ton and were quoted at US$ 670/ton in the last week, down 1.47 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices descended by US$ 15/ton and were offered at US$ 675/ton in the last week, a decrease of 2.17 percent vis-à-vis its earlier week.

In India, average prices went down by US$ 15/ton or 2.17 per cent and were spotted at US$ 675/ton in the last week.

In China, average prices slipped by US$ 25/ton and were assessed at US$ 705/ton in the last week, down 3.42 per cent as compared to its previous week.
