Asian PTA prices edge up last week

PTA prices increased in Asia in the last week due to lift in buying interest in the region.

In FE Asia, average prices inched higher by US$ 10/ton and assessed at US$ 840/ton in the last week, an improvement of 1.20 per cent as compared to the previous week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices stepped up by US$ 5/ton and secured at US$ 855/ton in the last week, after an increase of 0.59 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
 
In India, average prices went up by US$ 5/ton and recorded at US$ 860/ton in the last week, showing a gain of 0.58 per cent over the previous week.
