Ethylene prices in Asia plunge last week

Ethylene prices witnessed sharp fall in Asia in the last week because of sluggish buying trends coupled with ample product in the region.
 
In Korea, average prices diminished US$ 105/ton and assessed at US$ 790/ton in the last week, after a decrease of 11.73 per cent over the previous week.
 
In Japan, average prices contracted to US$ 785/ton in the last week over US$ 890/ton in the prior week, a drop of US$ 105/ton.
 
In NE Asia, average prices dwindled US$ 60/ton to a total of US$ 845/ton in the last week, a reduction of 6.63 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the preceding week.
 
In SE Asia, average prices edged down drastically by US$ 70/ton and traded at US$ 755/ton in the last week over the previous week, a decline of 8.48 per cent.
