European ethylene slips but stays stable in US last week

Ethylene prices slipped in Europe in the last week ended Dec 11 due to bearish product demand in the region. However, due to firm energy prices in the market, average prices were stable in the US.

In Europe, average prices dipped by US$ 30/ton or 3.03 per cent and were quoted at US$ 960/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In US, average prices remained steady and were assessed at 20 cents/pound in the last week, as against its prior week.
