Improved downstream pushes PX prices in US & Europe

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in the US and European markets in the last week ending April 1, 2016, due to improved downstream market sentiments in the region.

In the US, average prices went up by $10/ton and were assessed at $740/ton in the last week, which is a rise of 1.37 per cent compared to the previous week ending March 25, 2016.

In Europe, average prices shot up by $5/ton to $710/ton in the last week, up 0.71 per cent compared to the previous week.
