PT Lotte Chemical Indonesia (LCI), a subsidiary of Malaysian company LOTTE Chemical Titan Holding, recently held a ground-breaking ceremony for its Lotte chemical Indonesia new ethylene (LINE) project in Cilegon in Banten. The project, which includes a naphtha cracker and petrochemical complex that produces downstream products, is at planning stage now.

Indonesia imports more than half of its petrochemical products and hence the additional domestic production from LINE will improve the country’s trade balance significantly, according to the company.
