A monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant operated by Nippon Shokubai will undergo maintenance turnaround in August.

“The MEG plant located at Ukishima will go off-stream in mid-August for a period of one month to undertake a turnaround at the plant,” a Nippon Shokubai official told fibre2fashion.

When quizzed about a turnaround at the Chidori MEG plant, he said that they have not yet decided dates for the same.

Both the MEG plants have a production capacity of 165,000 mt/year, each.
