Xianglu restarts Fujian PTA plant

A purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant managed by China-based Xianglu Petrochemicals has restarted, after it was shutdown due to technical issues.

“The PTA plant which was shutdown on June 23 owing to technical issues has now been restarted,” a Xianglu official told fibre2fashion.

When quizzed on market demand for PTA, he said, “The demand for PTA is currently stable in the Chinese market”.

The plant located in Fujian province has a production capacity of 1.5 million mt/year.
