Japan-based Ube Industries plans to shut one of its two Caprolactam (CPL) lines for a maintenance turnaround.

An Ube official told fibre2fashion, “The line is planned to be taken off-stream in October 2013 and is likely to remain off-stream for around one month.”

He further added that they have finished maintenance for the other Caprolactam line in May-June this year.

He replied in the negative, when quizzed on any expansion plans.

Located in Ube, Japan, the CPL plant comprises two lines with a combined production capacity of 90,000 mt/year.
