Ethylene prices increase in global markets last fortnight

The prices of ethylene increased in major markets of Asia, Europe and U.S.A during the fortnight ending July 15, 2013.
 
In Asian markets, ethylene prices increased by 2.57 percent, in line with bullish sentiment in the upstream market.
 
In the Far East Asian markets, the average price of ethylene increased during the fortnight ending July 15, compared to the prices of previous fortnight. Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1225/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian markets, ethylene prices were in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1295/ton during the fortnight ending July 15.
 
In European and U.S.A markets, ethylene prices increased due to improved buying sentiments in rest of global market.
 
In Europe, ethylene prices rose by 1.89 percent and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton on July 15, while in U.S.A market prices increased by 0.50 percent and were offered in the range of 57.00 cents/pound to 57.50 cents/pound.
