MEG prices rise in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1480/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1515/ton.   
 
PTA prices dropped in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1070/ton to US$ 1075/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1075/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1085/ton to US$ 1090/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged and were offered in the range of RMB 7675/ton to RMB 7725/ton.   
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1325/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 56.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed steady in the European international and domestic markets, and were assessed at US$ 1395/ton and €1085/ton, respectively.  
 
MEG prices inched down in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1070/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1075/ton to US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8100/ton to RMB 8150/ton.    
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1470/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1430/ton and US$ 1450/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were assessed at RMB 10200/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices maintained stable trend in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9650/ton to RMB 9700/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1520/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices maintained steady trend and were assessed in the range of RMB 10350/ton to RMB 10375/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY were steady at RMB 10650/ton, RMB 12150/ton, and RMB 10750/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY were unchanged at US$ 1485/ton, US$ 1690/ton, and US$ 1485/ton, respectively.
