MEG prices dip in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton. In Far East Asian markets, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1480/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton.
 
PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In Southeast Asian markets, PTA prices increased in the range of US$ 1075/ton to US$ 1080/ton. In Far East Asian markets, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1075/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1065/ton to US$ 1070/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7700/ton to RMB 7730/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In Southeast Asian markets, Ethylene prices were offered in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1215/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 56.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices swelled in the European international market  to US$ 1430/ton, while they remained steady in the domestic market and were quoted at  €1085/ton.
 
MEG prices dipped in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1075/ton to US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices dipped and were assessed in the range of RMB 7950/ton to RMB 8000/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton, and some deals were discussed between US$ 1430/ton and US$ 1470/ton. In Far East Asian markets, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1470/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1430/ton and US$ 1450/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted at RMB 10150/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices maintained a stable trend, and were quoted in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9600/ton to RMB 9650/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in Asian markets. In Far East Asian markets, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1520/ton. In Southeast Asian markets, PSF selling prices were US$ 1420/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of RMB 10350/ton to RMB 10375/ton.
 
In Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained steady at RMB 10650/ton, RMB 12150/ton, and RMB 10750/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices offered for POY, DTY, and FDY were stable at US$ 1485/ton, US$ 1690/ton, and US$ 1485/ton, respectively.
