PTA prices surge in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1515/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1490/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton.
 
PTA prices swelled in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1080/ton to US$ 1085/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1080/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1070/ton to US$ 1075/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7750/ton to RMB 7800/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1375/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1240/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were assessed in the range of 55.00 cents/pound to 55.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices maintained a steady trend in the European international market and domestic market, and were quoted at US$ 1450/ton and €1140/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices surged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices increased and were offered at US$ 1100/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1075/ton to US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7950/ton to RMB 8000/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1490/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1480/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1440/ton and US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 10100/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9550/ton to RMB 9600/ton.
