MEG prices decline in Chinese markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices stayed steady in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1495/ton to US$ 1500/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1480/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1495/ton to US$ 1500/ton.      
 
PTA prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices kept unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1070/ton to US$ 1075/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1070/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1065/ton to US$ 1070/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 7650/ton to RMB 7700/ton. 
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1375/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1240/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed in the range of 53.00 cents/pound to 53.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international and domestic markets, and were offered at US$ 1450/ton and €1140/ton, respectively.     
 
MEG prices plunged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1075/ton to US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices dropped down and were assessed in the range of RMB 7875/ton to RMB 7925/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were unchanged in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1490/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1480/ton, while talked prices were assessed between US$ 1440/ton and US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices were steady at RMB 10100/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9525/ton to RMB 9575/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1520/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices fell and were offered in the range of RMB 10200/ton to RMB 10250/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY were steady at RMB 10700/ton and RMB 12250/ton respectively, while FDY prices declined to RMB 10700/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY remained unchanged at US$ 1495/ton, US$ 1705/ton, respectively while prices of FDY declined to US$ 1480/ton.
