PTA prices dip in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1470/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1495/ton to US$ 1500/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained a steady trend in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1065/ton to US$ 1070/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1065/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices dipped and were assessed in the range of RMB 7625/ton to RMB 7675/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1385/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1235/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of 53.50 cents/pound to 54.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices plunged in the European international and domestic market, and were assessed at US$ 1440/ton and €1120/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 1070/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1075/ton to US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of RMB 7875/ton to RMB 7925/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1470/ton, and some deals were discussed between US$ 1420/ton and US$ 1460/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers declined and were assessed at US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1410/ton and US$ 1450/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted at RMB 10025/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 9475/ton to RMB 9525/ton.
