Showa Denko plans naphtha cracker shutdown in March 2014

Showa Denko is planning to shut its Oita, Japan-based naphtha cracker for maintenance turnaround in March 2014.
 
“The cracker is likely to remain off-stream for around 40 days,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
 
The naphtha cracker has production capacity of 690,000 mt/year of Ethylene.
 
“The cracker is operating at full capacity rates at present,” the official said.
