China Petrochemical Development Corporation (CPDC) is expected to shutdown its Acrylonitrile (ACN) plant for maintenance turnaround this month.

“The Da-Sheh based ACN plant is expected to remain off-steam for around 15 days from October 26, 2013, for maintenance turnaround,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

The Da-Sheh, Taiwan-based ACN plant has a production capacity of 240,000 mt/year.

In Taiwan, CPDC is the main supplier of upstream raw material for three major types of synthetic fibres including nylon 6 fibre, acrylic fibre and polyester fibre.

CPDC is currently among the top 10 global ACN manufacturers.
