PTA prices decline in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices stayed steady in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1470/ton to US$ 1475/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1455/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1475/ton to US$ 1480/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1035/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1045/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7575/ton to RMB 7625/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1465/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1365/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were offered in the range of 44.00 cents/pound to 44.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1300/ton and €1035/ton, respectively.     
 
MEG prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices were assessed at US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7825/ton to RMB 7875/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1420/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1380/ton and US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips price remained stable and were assessed at RMB 9600/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of RMB 9125/ton to RMB 9150/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1500/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were unchanged in the range of RMB 9875/ton to RMB 9925/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY remained stable at RMB 10100/ton and RMB 10325/ton, respectively, while DTY declined to RMB 12025/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY were steady at US$ 1400/ton and US$ 1420/ton, respectively, while DTY declined to US$ 1670/ton.
