MEG prices plunge in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices swelled and were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1385/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1405/ton.

In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1000/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market dipped and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.

Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1365/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of 46.50 cents/pound to 47.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton and €1010/ton, respectively.

In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chip prices maintained a steady trend in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were between US$ US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 9475/ton.
