PTA prices surge in Southeast Asian market

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1385/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1005/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian market. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1365/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of 46.00 cents/pound to 46.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton and €1010/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices were assessed at US$ 1040/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1045/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices dipped and were assessed in the range of RMB 7625/ton to RMB 7675/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chip prices remained stable in the range of US$ US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed at around US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers maintained a steady trend at US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were between US$ US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices decreased and were quoted at RMB 9425/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chip prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices declined in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 8975/ton to RMB 9025/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1505/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1405/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9850/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable and were assessed at RMB 10025/ton, RMB 12000/ton, and RMB 10200/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY remained unchanged at US$ 1395/ton, US$ 1675/ton, and US$ 1410/ton, respectively.
